Stone Circle 2003™ (aka TexHenge™)

TexHenge is only the second full size stone circle in all the world. It is the first to be built in over 3500 years since Stonehenge was constructed in England. TexHenge is a fully functional ancient astronomical observatory of amazing accuracy.

TexHenge is 6m (19.7ft) tall and 50m (164ft) in diameter, over 2.7 times the area of Stonehenge. A full NBA basketball court with 600 seats will fit inside the circle. Unlike Stonehenge, you can walk among the monoliths, touch them and spread a blanket and have your picnic there. TexHenge is the ideal place to have your wedding, meeting, party or dance. Discover the magic of a place unique in all the world.

Prime Circle

The Rarest Granites
Each Prime Circle monolith is chosen by the buyer from the wide selection of beautiful color granites in the exclusive TexHenge Stone collection.

Prime Circle™ Commemorative Monoliths

TexHenge Prime Circle Commemorative Monoliths are tributes erected to honor a family, business, favorite teacher or philosophical idea. They are massive granite monoliths up to 1m square and 3m tall. The concept of erecting a monolith in someone's honor is as old as civilization. They honor corporations, clubs, special events, veterans, teachers and heros.

A single minute of advertising can cost from $100,000 to over a million dollars. For this price you can buy one of the largest commemorative monoliths and cover it with inscriptions and sculptural carvings, then have it placed in the Prime Circle atop the berm with the TexHenge Stone Circle 2003 for all to see. Your tribute or advertisement will be seen by millions and will endure the ages instead of flashing away forever in one fleeting minute on the television.

Americans purchase millions of commemorative stones every year, yet we never stop to think about this practice. A cemetary marker is never seen except once or twice by close family and friends. A TexHenge commemorative monolith will be seen by millions of people, and you can commemorate the living, or a philosophical ideal, or anything in good taste.

To preserve the happy nature of these monoliths, there are no funerals or burials at TexHenge-- only commemorative monoliths. However, it is considered especially auspicious to ring the Great Bell when dedicating your monolith.

Golf Max
World's Most Difficult Course

Air Show Distraction ??
Play a round with the B2B and F-16's blazing across the sky on our two annual fly-over air show days. Golf Max is "The World's Most Difficult Golf Course™" and this is not just good advertising. It's a fact. Re-discover golf as it was played for 80% of its long history.

Golf Max™

Golf Max™ is the "World's Most Difficult Golf Course"™ and that is an understatement. Golf Max is old fashion golf. It's the sort of golf they played for six hundred years. It's not your modern golf dominated by misguided landscape designers who make those ultra manicured playgrounds for those who want to think they're golfing, but without the challange.

Sure, Golf Max is a regulation 7,200 yard Par-72 course if you shoot a perfectly controlled game. Most of us will not make it through the trees and the diabolical traps and undulating greens. Even the best golfer will feel he's starting at the beginning again, and even the rankest amateur will thrill to the challanges where long drives are impossible and long putts are a memory. Golf as it was meant to be.

Golf in a setting that no other golf course on earth can duplicate or claim as their own. That is because Golf Max™ surrounds the TexHenge stone circle. Imagine yourself to be one of the lucky golfers playing the course on the day of our annual fly-over air show-- will the Stealth bomber distract your drive? Will the F-15's take your attention from your putt?

New Stonehenge
Exact replica as original

New Stonehenge
Original ceremonial use is shown. Our New Stonehenge will be used for movie making and a television series, as well as a great place for a picnic, party, wedding or meeting.

TexHenge & Stonehenge
Shows larger TexHenge size.

New Stonehenge™

New Stonehenge is a detailed and accurate full-scale replica of how Stonehenge looked when new, down to the smallest detail and nuance. Stonehenge is the second most popular tourist destination in the world. When you visit you cannot approach it close enough to see any detail. They turn you away.

At Stonehenge, police keep all visitors hundreds of feet away. You cannot walk among the stones. You cannot take photos up close. Thousands are rebuked when they request to hold their wedding at the inspirational site. This is totally unlike our New Stonehenge™, where weddings will become a daily affair, and visitors are encouraged to walk among the stones, touch them and spread a blanket for a picnic.

Our New Stonehenge is built from detailed 3-dimensional photographs using full 3-d computer modelling and exact replication of each individual stone, with its accurate shape, texture and color. The giant stones of New Stonehenge™ will be as real in their appearance and as awe-inspiring as the originals.

Grand Pyramid
One sixth scale replica

Grand Pyramid
Taller than 8-story building

Rosetta Stone
Deciphering the Heiroglyphics

Grand Pyramid™

The Grand Pyramid™ will be an impressive and awe- inspiring attraction. It is a one-sixth scale reproduction of the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Giza, Egypt, the world's most popular tourist destination.

Inside the pyramid will be three grand meeting room floors for weddings, meetings, dances, parties and any other function the renter wishes. How big is a sixth scale reproduction? Very big. Over eight stories tall!

The base is 40 metres (130 feet) on a side and the top block is 25 metres (82 feet) above the ground. The first floor has over ten thousand square feet to host large meetings and crowds of visitors. A very high ceiling of 5m (16 feet) enhances the spacious feeling.

Above this is a large 5m high second floor, and under the apex itself is the third floor with an amazing forty feet beneath the red granite apex. Two elevators and two gently sloped stairs allow maximum ease of ingress and egress. The building is composed of two-inch thick red granite, exactly the stone that the Great Pyramid of Cheops is constructed of, except our modern building is built over a safe steel framework of enormous strength.

An authentic reproduction of the Rosetta Stone will explain how three languages carved together led to the deciphering of the heiroglyphics. Other educational stone sculptures will enhance the air of mystery and adventure in this truly inspirational depiction of the grandeur of early African culture. The Grand Pyramid will be a popular place to hold weddings and meetings.

Coliseum in Rome
One of the first great achievements of the Latin culture. Our reproduction is 30x40 feet in size, made of stone and architecturally faithful to the original. One of sixteen displays of Old World and New World Latin and Native American cultures.

8ft Olmec Head
See four full-size Olmec heads from Mexico, all carved by our sculptors to be 100% faithful to the originals.

Plaza Grande™

Plaza Grande™ will be a giant open-air pavilion featuring sixteen massive exhibits of the Latin cultures of Italy, Spain and Portugal and the New World Hispanic and Native American cultures.

Eight exhibits of a massive 30x40 feet each are located on each side of the Plaza Grande. First is a stone replica of the amazing Coliseum in Rome where Gladiators and wild beasts and enemy captives met their violent end. The huge size will permit small wedding parties to actually stand inside the reproduction.

Another exhibit will feature actual stone reproductions of the Olmec and other eight-foot-tall heads from Yucatan and Central America and the amazing La Venta offering which in many ways resembles the Terra Cotta Warriors of Xian, China.

Native American culture is represented by a reproduction of the cliff-dwellings of Mesa Verde, with a section built actual size. The Sioux, Crow, Apache, Hopi, Navajo and Iriquoi houses will be exhibited as well as other items of their physical cultures. Each of the sixteen exhibits will be a perfect "home away from home" exhibit for the many diverse cultures represented by the citizens of the United States. Each exhibit forms the perfect backdrop for a perfect wedding ceremony featuring a favorite scene from a distant land and ancient culture.

China's Yongle Bell
One of the most awesome tones of any bell ever made. A classic achievement of a great culture. The 46.5ton bell is covered with over 227,000 characters of Buddhist scriptures. Located in Beijing.

TexHenge Great Bell
As a tribute to the Yongle Bell of China, we are making the Great Bell slightly smaller, about 42tons. The Great Bell is not a religious bell, but will be used as a lucky bell for weddings, parties and meetings.

Great Bell™

The TexHenge Great Bell is a tribute to the "Yongle Bell" in China, and is the main exhibit in our Asian Center that features the cultures of Asia. The largest ringing bell in the world weighs 90tons and is located in Myanmar (Burma).

The Yongle Bell is the largest ringing bell in China. It is over 22ft (6.75m) tall and almost 11ft (3.3m) in diameter and weighs 46.5tons. Its enormous sound ranges from 22-800Hz and can be peaked at 120dB, which has been heard 50 miles away in the quiet of night.

We could easily build a bell much bigger than the Yongle Bell with modern methods. However, the 600 year old bell has a bold, distinctive note that is simply awesome, and we want our Great Bell to be similar.

As a tribute, the Great Bell will be 21ft (6.5m) tall and 10.5ft (3.2m) in diameter and will weigh about 42tons. Therefore it will be just slightly smaller than the Yongle bell, and should give us a beautiful, massive tone in the 28-920Hz range, which out of courtesy to everyone's ears will be rung at a softer level. It should produce an awesome low note heard for two miles, and tolerable for people standing even close by.

Dark Sky 2m Telescope

Saturn is the Favorite
of most observers.

DarkSky Telescope™

Each attraction in the TexHenge complex reinforces and compliments all the others. Our Dark Sky Telescope constitutes a strong attraction for the more educated and affluent groups which will provide us long term visitors and revenue.

The Dark Sky Telescope is name-keyed to our main 1-800-DarkSky telephone number. It will be a prime generator of free television, newspaper and magazine publicity that will be worth tens of millions of dollars on an annual basis.

The Dark Sky Telescope will be built by skilled and highly experienced telescope builders in cooperation with major astronomical societies across the nation. It will cost a tenth what a commercial instrument might, and it will use all the latest equipment and techniques that allow low cost machines to rival the mountaintop giants of the professional observatories.

The local astronomers will receive time on the telescope for their efforts, and they prefer the midnight to dawn times where tourists are rarely present. We will also rent the telescope during these hours.

Now for the Texas superlatives. It will be in the 2m (80 inch) size range, and it will be the world's largest telescope open for free public viewing-- by a big margin! The next largest in Texas is 34 inches.

Images of the sun, moon, planets and comets will be posted to our website in real time, and we will donate computers to all the local schools and libraries, and to the four most influential television stations in the area. With the big telescope roaming the skies constantly, we will get publicity every day.
